Rhamphomyia es un género de moscas de la familia Empididae.
Similar a Empis, pero se diferencian en la venación de las alas. Se encuentran en el hemisferio norte. Prefieren áreas húmedas, a lo largo de cauces de agua. Al igual que otros géneros de esta familia, los machos tienden a agregarse a la espera de hembras. Suelen coleccionar un insecto que ofrecen a la hembra como regalo nupcial. También hay casos de enjambres de hembras o mixtos.[3]
