La Sussex Academic Press, fundada en 1994, es una editorial con sede en Eastbourne, Sussex Oriental, en el Reino Unido.[1] Inicialmente se especializó en estudios de Oriente Medio,[2] hoy en día se publican libros de no ficción populares, de humor y de regalo, literatura de viajes y sobre salud y bienestar.[1]

La casa publicó libros sobre temas de relevancia y debate contemporáneos en Oriente Medio, Teología y Religión, Historia (especialmente historia portuguesa, española y hugonote), y Crítica Literaria, así como estudios latinoamericanos, de las Primeras Naciones y asiáticos.[3]

Su serie sobre el mundo de habla portuguesa: su historia, política y cultura está bajo la dirección de António Costa Pinto, Onésimo T. Almeida y Miguel Bandeira Jerónimo.

En 2022, Liverpool University Press (LUP) anunció la adquisición de Sussex Academic Press como parte de su estrategia de publicación digital, lo que le permitió acceder al catálogo de 1000 libros de Sussex Academic Press.[2]
