Peter F. Sugar (1919-1999) fue un historiador estadounidense de origen húngaro, autor de diversas obras sobre el sureste y centro de Europa y el Imperio otomano.
Biografía
[editar | editar código]Nacido en 1919 en Budapest,[1] emigró tras la Segunda Guerra Mundial a los Estados Unidos.[2] Fue autor de obras como Industrialization of Bosnia-Hercegovina, 1878–1918 (1963),[3] Southeastern Europe under Ottoman Rule, 1354–1804 (1977),[4] Nationality and Society in Habsburg and Ottoman Europe (1997)[5][6][7] y East European Nationalism, Politics and Religion (1999).[8] También fue editor junto con Peter Hanák de la obra A History of Hungary (1990).[9][lower-alpha 1] Falleció en 1999,[1] el día 5 de diciembre.[2]
