R Trianguli es una estrella gigante roja de tipo M4lIIe variable Mira rica en oxígeno.[1] Se encuentra en la constelación del Triángulo a 959 años luz del Sol .[2] Fue descubierta en 1890 por Thomas Henry Espinell Compton Espin.[3] Tiene una magnitud aparente de 6,78, una masa de 1,71 soles. Su temperatura es de 3 491 K,[4] y posee una luminosidad de 1 784 soles ,[5] con 196 radios solares.[6]
