En 2008, Powerwolf lanzó su primer videoálbum, The Wacken Worship. El tercer álbum de Powerwolf, Bible of the Beast, se lanzó el 24 de abril de 2009. El organista Falk Maria Schlegel declaró en 2010 sobre el nuevo material del grupo, "Pasamos los últimos tres meses en el local de ensayo preparando el material para el nuevo álbum. Su cuarto disco se tituló ''[[Blood of the Saints]]'' y se dio a conocer el 29 de julio de 2011 en Europa, y el 2 de agosto del mismo año en los Estados Unidos. 

Durante el 2012, la banda editó dos discos. El segundo lanzamiento de 2012 fue ''[[Alive In The Night]]'', su primer disco en vivo, que contiene 10 canciones y poco más de 45 minutos de duración.
