Tyrannides es un clado de aves paseriformes endémicas de América.^[1] El grupo probablemente se originó en América del Sur durante el Eoceno, hace unos 45 millones de años.^[2]

Taxonomía

Tyrannides está dividido en dos clados (Furnariida and Tyrannida) que contienen trece familias.^[3]^[4] Las familias que aparecen en esta lista están reconocidas por la International Ornithologists' Union (IOC).^[5]
